Water Dripping at Supply Pipe Connection Point
Water drips or seeps from where the supply pipe connects to the bottom or side of the cistern
Identify the model first.
The same symptom can have different causes. Confirm the cistern label, installation generation and applicable manufacturer instructions. Use only safely accessible checks; ask technical support when unsure.

Locate and Confirm the Leak
Dry the entire area with a cloth, restore water supply, and watch where the first drops appear. A leak at the connection point will emerge from the lock nut area or the interface between the pipe and the fill valve base.
Check 02
Replace the Inlet Seal
The inlet seal (Part 237 785) is a flat rubber washer inside the fill valve inlet. Over time it compresses and hardens. Turn off the supply, flush to relieve pressure, disconnect the supply pipe, pull out the old washer, fit the new Part 237 785 seal, reconnect, and hand-tighten the lock nut plus a final quarter-turn with a spanner. Do not over-tighten as this can crack the fill valve body.
Check 03
Test Under Pressure
Restore the water supply slowly and watch for 2–3 minutes. If a slight seep remains, apply one additional quarter-turn to the lock nut. If the leak persists, inspect the fill valve body for hairline cracks — a cracked body requires complete fill valve replacement (Part 238 956).
These checks provide context for a support enquiry. Confirm any replacement article against the exact model drawing and manufacturer instructions.
